Tonight I was booted off of the computer system at work, well somewhat. I was trying to find out how many trucks I was going to have tommorow and what were the sizes, but the pipeline was gone. I tryed to log onto the wire but my password did not take. Now I have to see the store manager before work in the morning to see if he can give me a password for I can go into the system.

I only really use the computer system at work to find out about company policies that I may have a problem with and to chec if I have any CBL's. i can still do my CBL's but I need info. I am not going to let the managers at the store tell me what is the company policy on a subject because I will not have all the information I would need to twist it around in my favor. I know that sound childish, but you have to look out for number one at this company.

Everyday my job become even more stressful ten the last, and normally I don't let stress froom work get to me, but this is different. Wal-Mart is like a drug. If you read the newpaper and see the adds in Tv it looks like a wonderful place to work at, but once your travel though those doors and get a job there it is hell, pure hell.

I have seen people wages cut, hour cut and people just flat out fired because of the store budget. At Wal-mart you ae not a person you are an expense and if you don't put the company in the red you can stay. My department started me off at $8.49hr, but the last person that got hired into my department is only making $7.20hr. Then when the new guys don't want to work as hard as the guys that put there time in they wonder why they are the first one fired once the store begans to go slow.

To Wal-mart it is always about the bottom line. At the end of the day no body care how bad your day was, the only thing they care about is the bottom line.

i doubt your managers are twisting policies. they might forget things, but i would be surprised if they are twisting them. such things are easily caught.

as far as pay administration, usually there is a reason for it. one of the reasons pay may have been cut at your store is when the new pay scale was introduced. usually this is not something management at the store level has control over.

if i had ever had my pay cut when I was a floor associate, i would have gone right out the door. I started out in '99 at $5.45 and it wasn't until I was promoted to dept mgr a year ago that I broke the $10/hr mark. believe me, I feel your pain.

i feel that it is managements job to look out for the hourlies-- getting you the hours, pay rate, etc. i swore on my mothers grave that if i ever made it asst. mgr, i would do everything in my power to make your job and your day easier.
